Jujutsu Kaisen is a supernatural action manga written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, first published in 2018. The story takes place in a world where plagues, creatures born from human curses, pose a constant threat to humanity. To combat these creatures, jujutsu exorcists master combat techniques based on cursed energy.

The protagonist, Yūji Itadori, is an ordinary high school student with exceptional physical strength, until one day he finds himself involved in the world of exorcists. After finding a cursed object, a finger belonging to one of the most powerful cursed spirits, Ryomen Sukuna, Yūji swallows this artifact to protect his friends and thus becomes Sukuna's host. Although the latter is an evil entity capable of destroying everything in its path, Yūji manages to maintain control of his body.
